Today Digital is a growing B2B media and technology business, working with some of the world’s leading technology brands. Email is one of our most important channels – it helps us engage our audience, support client campaigns, promote our editorial content, and build relationships with decision‑makers across our markets. This is a great opportunity for a graduate who wants to build a career in email marketing. You’ll get hands‑on experience across newsletters, outbound campaigns, and cold outreach, working with platforms like HubSpot and Apollo.io. You’ll also work closely with our Editorial, Client Services, and Growth Marketing teams to help make sure the right content reaches the right people. No prior platform experience is needed – we’ll teach you everything you need to know. We’re looking for someone curious, detail‑focused, and excited to learn how content and data come together to drive real engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Help build, schedule, and send newsletters and email campaigns in HubSpot
- Write clear, engaging copy for different audiences, promoting our editorial content, events, and client campaigns
- Support list management, segmentation, and keeping our contact data clean and organised
- Manage outbound campaigns through Apollo.io
- Support building targeted prospect lists based on audience type and campaign goals
- Write and test outreach sequences, and track reply rates and engagement
- Track key metrics such as opens, clicks, replies, and unsubscribes
- Support A/B testing on subject lines, send times, and messaging
- Apply data insights to improve future campaigns
- Work with Editorial to promote articles, reports, and features
- Work with Client Services to deliver client campaign emails on time to the right audience
- Check campaigns carefully before they go out – links, formatting, segmentation, and copy
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Good, clear writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
- Strong attention to detail, especially when setting up and checking campaigns
- A curious, analytical mindset – interested in understanding what makes people open and click
- Good organisational skills, comfortable juggling several campaigns at once
- A willingness to learn new tools and ask questions
- Interest in B2B media, technology, or content marketing is a bonus
- Experience with HubSpot, Apollo.io, Mailchimp, or similar tools is helpful but not required
- Based in or able to commute to Manchester
What You’ll Learn:
- How to manage email marketing for a fast‑moving B2B media business
- How to use HubSpot and Apollo.io to support engagement and outreach
- How to build campaigns that speak to different audiences
- How to read performance data and turn it into practical improvements
- How content, data, and commercial teams work together to drive results
What You’ll Get:
- Full training on email marketing best practice and our tools
- Real ownership of campaigns from early on
- Support and mentoring from an experienced team
- A friendly, collaborative environment
- Clear opportunities to grow your career in digital marketing
