The Opportunity
We're looking for a Graduate Front-End Web Developer to join our growing in-house product and technology team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to work at the intersection of:

You will help us modernise our websites and web applications, improve user journeys, and build new AI-powered experiences that increase audience engagement, retention, and loyalty.

What You'll Be Doing
Front-End Development
- Build and improve modern front-end experiences across Today Digital websites and web applications
- Develop responsive, high-performance interfaces for desktop and mobile
- Help modernise legacy user journeys and site functionality
- Build reusable UI components and front-end modules
User Experience & Journey Optimisation
- Improve website usability, navigation, and engagement flows
- Analyse audience behaviour and identify friction points in user journeys
- Support A/B testing and iterative UX improvements
AI-Powered Product Innovation
Help design and build AI-powered features that improve:
- search
- audience engagement
- loyalty
Examples may include:
- AI assistants
- personalised recommendations
- conversational UX
Web Application Development
You'll work on modern web apps powering our news publications and other digital properties.
This includes:
- CMS
- Workflow automation
- Product interfaces
Data & Platform Support
Although front-end focused, this role will also support broader platform development.
You may assist with:
- database integration
- API integrations
- secure authentication and permissions
You'll work closely with:
- Researchers
- Designers
- Marketing team
- Product leaders
- Senior management
This is a highly collaborative role where strong communication matters.
