Overview
TOCA Social is the world\βs first dining and entertainment experience with a football twist. Our first venue opened in 2021 in The O2, London and our second in Birmingham in 2024. We are also set to open in Westfield London, Dallas and Mexico in 2025. At TOCA Social, Everybody Plays! The dynamic role of a Kitchen Supervisor in Training means no two days are the same. You are responsible for bringing together multiple elements of our guests\β journey to deliver memorable experiences, while supporting and developing your own team.
Role Scope & Responsibilities
We\βre searching for a Kitchen Captain who will work closely with all teammates and venue leadership teams to oversee daily operations, ensuring guests experience a memorable visit. This is a crucial role in supporting and developing our venue teams, by being their go-to for support.
- Cooking & Food Standards: Prep and cook dishes to spec, ensuring consistent portion sizes and presentation
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Lead by example with cleanliness and food safety, ensuring compliance with hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety standards
- Controlling GP & Reducing Waste: Manage costs through portion control, waste reduction, and stock management; help meet gross profit targets
- Team Leadership: Train and supervise the kitchen crew; coach teammates and provide constructive feedback; lead new initiatives
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with TOCA Talent events to recruit talent and ensure proper training and compliance
- Stock & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, avoid over-ordering, perform weekly stock checks, ensure proper storage and rotation
- Problem Solving: Address issues such as kitchen problems, customer complaints, or missing deliveries with fast, practical solutions
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience within hospitality, or at least 6 months as a senior teammate at TOCA Social
- Passion for food and drink and providing memorable guest experiences
- Punctual, reliable, with a great attitude and work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure with a guest-first attitude
- Hands-on and willing to support the team and venue leadership
- Desire to develop themselves and teammates to deliver outstanding experiences
- Flexibility to work across evenings and weekends
- Willingness to support teammates across the venue and in varying departments
- Pride in your work and in the work of your teammates to exceed guest expectations
- Vibrant presence on the venue floor and ability to support teams with a warm, friendly manner
