The Role in a Nutshell
Toaster is looking for an ambitious, high-energy Account & Growth Director to join our team. This is a unique hybrid role designed for someone who loves the thrill of winning new business as much as the reward of nurturing long-term client partnerships. You will spend your time split between two critical pillars: delivering world-class work for our existing global tech clients and working directly with the Managing Director to drive our next phase of agency growth.
What you'll be doing
- Client Partnership & Delivery
- Own the Relationship: Act as the central heartbeat of your accounts, ensuring clients feel supported, heard, and excited about our work.
- Bridge the Gap: Expertly translate client needs into actionable briefs for our creative and production teams, managing expectations on both sides.
- Master the Process: Lead projects from initial brief to final delivery, ensuring every output is on-brand, on-time, and profitable.
- Optimize Workflows: Identify ways to make our collaboration with clients smoother and more efficient.
- Reporting & Rigor: Maintain high standards of documentation, including weekly status reports, agendas, and detailed contact reports.
- New Business & Agency Growth
- Fuel the Pipeline: Support the Managing Director in identifying and prospecting new leads through research and networking.
- Pitch to Win: Manage the end-to-end delivery of RFIs and RFPs, coordinating case studies, credentials, and pitch decks.
- Market Intel: Conduct competitive research and gather data to give our pitch team a strategic edge.
- Build the Toolkit: Help us scale by maintaining a 'gold standard' library of pitch collateral and best-practice templates.
What you'll bring
- Agency Pedigree: Significant experience in Account Management within advertising, design, or marketing agencies.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience working with (or a deep passion for) global tech brands and digital platforms.
- Growth Mindset: You are a 'business builder' who spots opportunities for organic growth.
- Strategic Communication: You can write a persuasive deck, present to stakeholders, and hold your own in a budget negotiation.
- Precision: An eagle eye for detail and a 'no-stone-unturned' approach to project delivery and numeracy.
What you're like
- Self-Starting: You see a gap and fill it.
- Confident & Persuasive: You can build rapport quickly with both internal creatives and external CEOs.
- Calm Under Pressure: You enjoy the fast-paced nature of a pitch environment.
- Expert Tool-User: You are a pro at Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Benefits
- 25 days annual leave
- Private Health, Dental & Eye care insurance
- Pension scheme
- Training budget
- Employee Assistance Program
- Core hours
