Who We Are At Toaster, we blend imagination with technical craft to create digital experiences, campaigns, and products that people actually care about. We partner with some of the world’s most innovative brands (like Google, YouTube & Netflix) to turn big ideas into reality. We believe that great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. That’s why we’re looking for a fresh perspective to join our creative team this summer for a fast-paced, hands-on 4-week internship.
The Role This isn't a "get us coffee" kind of internship. Over the course of four weeks, you will be embedded directly within our creative department. You’ll work on live briefs, internal passion projects, and collaborative brainstorms.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Brainstorming & Ideation: Bring fresh, unexpected ideas to the table for client briefs, social campaigns, and digital activations.
- Creative Execution: Help muck in on the doing, whether that’s sketching concepts, writing snappy copy, mood-boarding, or creating quick design mockups.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with strategists and producers to see how an idea evolves from a sticky note to a finished product.
- The Final Project: Over the 4 weeks, you’ll own a mini-creative project from start to finish, culminating in a presentation to the creative team before you head off.
Who You Are You don’t need a flawless portfolio of finished client work, but you do need a portfolio or a collection of things that show how your brain works. Curious & Creative: You are obsessed with internet culture, design trends, emerging tech, or storytelling. A Self-Starter: You’re eager to learn, not afraid to ask "stupid" questions, and ready to dive straight into the deep end. A Team Player: You take feedback well and love collaborating with others to improve an idea.
Skillsets (Any of the following are a bonus): Copywriting, graphic design, motion graphics, video editing, or just a knack for conceptual thinking. (Let us know what your superpower is!).
What You’ll Get Out of It:
- Real Agency Experience: A peek behind the curtain of an agile, fast-moving creative agency.
- Portfolio Pieces: Real-world experience and concepts to add to your book.
- Mentorship: 1-on-1 time with creative leadership to review your portfolio and give you career advice.
- Culture: Join a friendly, ego-free team that loves what they do.
We don’t just hire for skill; we hire for perspective. We believe that a team reflecting the world’s diversity is our greatest creative engine. Here, you’re encouraged to push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and most importantly, be yourself.
Ready to build something iconic? We’re looking for unique talents from all walks of life. If you need any accommodations during the application process, our People team is here to help.
