Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our café. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment, ensuring quality control in all beverages served.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is required to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions efficiently.
