Toast is driven by building a platform that helps our customers adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love. From independent operators to global enterprise chains with thousands of locations, Toast powers the full guest and operator experience — point of sale, kitchen display, payroll, analytics, and beyond.
International expansion is a critical growth engine for Toast's future. Outside the US, we currently operate in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia and are actively growing our product platform in these markets. As we gain market share, we are increasing our upmarket product investment into Regional Mid Market (RMM) and Mid Market (MM). Our goal is to be able to win and retain larger and more complex restaurant and hospitality operators. These are multi-location brands that require centralized management, enterprise-grade controls, multi-concept reporting, and deep third-party integrations.
We are seeking a commercially-minded Product leader to own the product strategy and roadmap for this expansion into RMM/MM within our international markets. This is a cross-cutting, complex, and high-leverage product charter critical to our success. In this highly visible role, you will define what gets built, in which system, with what sequencing and you hold the accountability for delivery across all of it.
About this role (Responsibilities)
- Drive cross-codebase delivery. Partner with engineering and product owners across Toast's platform teams to deliver features required by international RMM/MM customers. We leverage the ‘away team’ mechanism to develop features across various codebases at Toast, so you will help navigate competing roadmaps, set clear success criteria, and hold delivery against contractual commitments.
- Champion field research & validation: Spend time with mid-market customers in all international markets to learn about their operational workflows, pain points, and opportunity areas. Represent the voice of this segment at the Toast leadership level.
- Data: Develop and track key metrics and KPIs across the customer journey.
- Define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy with Product Marketing, Sales, and Operations; identify commercial models that fit restaurants of different sizes.
- Coach senior PMs and engineers on product development and vendor evaluation.
Do you have the right ingredients? (Requirements)
- ~8+ years shipping complex software products with demonstrated ownership of multi-team programs or a major product portfolio.
- Proven track record taking a product from discovery through prototype and pilot to scale.
- Exemplary stakeholder management and ability to align external partners and internal stakeholders, especially on high-visibility initiatives.
- Communication & influence. Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication; able to synthesize technical tradeoffs and business value for executives and partners.
- At least Bachelors degree required.
