We have proven our model in Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Australia and we are now looking for a Director of Program Management to lead the charge into our next phase of global scale. You will drive the cross-functional partnerships required to refine our market-entry playbooks and pilot new territories. In this highly visible role, you will have a direct impact on how Toast serves customers in new markets and how our leaders work together.

A day in the life (Responsibilities)

  • Standardize operational delivery across existing markets and refine our market entry playbooks, partnering with Sales, Onboarding, Care, R&D and Legal to ensure cross-functional alignment and timely execution.
  • Master the requirements for every phase of market entry - from analyzing market trends to pinpointing exactly where we’re losing time & re-engineering the process to get Toast in front of new customers faster.
  • Identify and mitigate any risks to timelines and project completion, making recommendations on how to get project back on track.
  • Understand project roadblocks and serve as a connective tissue within the organization to help resolve them, influencing relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop project management artifacts, including regular reporting, and align on project KPIs.
  • Own the development of materials and communication plans that align internal and external stakeholders, including Toast senior executives.
  • Coordinate and prepare recurring updates for senior stakeholders - gathering inputs, aligning cross-functional teams and clearly communicating progress, risks, and asks to drive accountability and transparency.

What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)

  • Results-driven and highly accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency in driving 0 to 1 projects from strategy through to implementation.
  • Proven track record of leading complex business or product launches in non-US markets; deep familiarity with the logistical and regulatory hurdles of global expansion.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing successful cross-functional initiatives that delivered outstanding results.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to learn new things and tackle a range of challenges as they arise.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify critical insights, and shape business decisions that deliver meaningful impact.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with executives - earning trust through strong judgment, clear communication, and consistently high-quality execution on high-stakes projects.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to connect operational execution to customer impact and overall business value.
