Job Description
We’re currently recruiting for Full time Bookmakers Clerks in the Ballymena Area.
This is an entry level position and we are keen for all staff to progress quickly. Training will be provided to ensure confidence in all aspects of independently running a successful betting shop.
Responsibilities
- Processing bets and assisting with customer queries
- Working as part of a team to assist the day-to-day running of the shop
- Building relationships with customers and making them feel at home by delivering excellent customer service
- Maintaining high shop standards
Shop hours are Monday‑Sunday, 9am‑9pm and contracted hours will be allocated on a weekly rota basis.
Requirements
- Full UK clean driving licence
- Good communicator
- Flexible — as our business operates 7 days a week
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Enthusiastic people person
- Reliable and hands‑on team member
- Demonstrable IT skills
- Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role or cash handling
Desirable
- 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
Contract & Compensation
Full-time, £13.20 hourly. Closing date: Wednesday 3rd June 2026.
