Nursery Lunch Cover – Walton on Thames
Part‑Time Immediate start available — 20 hours per week (11am-3pm, Monday to Friday, all year round). We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming team in Walton on Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on childcare experience who is passionate about early years education and creating a nurturing environment for young children to thrive.
While this position is open to unqualified applicants, previous experience working within a nursery, preschool or early years setting is essential.
About the Role
As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5
- Assist in planning and delivering age‑appropriate activities
- Promote children’s social, emotional and physical development
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Contribute to observations and learning journals where required
