Nursery Lunch Cover – Haslemere

20 hours per week (11am-3pm, Monday to Friday, all-year round)
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming team in Haslemere. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on childcare experience who is passionate about early years education and creating a nurturing environment for young children to thrive. While this position is open to unqualified applicants, previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting is essential.
About the Role
As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5
- Assisting in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
- Promoting children’s social, emotional and physical development
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Contributing to observations and learning journals where required
