Responsibilities
The Nursery Nurse with SEND experience is responsible for providing 1-1 care for a child within the setting, creating an environment in which the child's individual needs are met each day, and for supporting the management team in ensuring that high quality childcare is provided to all. This role profile is not exhaustive and the Nursery Nurse is expected to fulfil any duty as required for the effective running of the setting.
Location
Our Berkhamsted Nursery is located a short walk from the town centre. It offers a purpose-built setting with a warm, welcoming environment. Each room has free-flow access to its own outdoor area, encouraging play throughout the day. The curriculum includes weekly Forest School sessions for preschool children, providing hands-on learning in a natural setting.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
- Awareness of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery-aged children.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
Working Hours and Pay
- Full-time, 40 hours a week.
- Part-time, 20 hours a week.
- Supply roles available.
- Salary up to £29,286 per annum.
- The part-time shift is Tuesday – Thursday 10.00am – 3.00pm.
- The role is all year round, not term-time only.
