Our Nursery
Toad Hall Nursery was established in 1998. Our 123 place nursery in Walton-on-Thames has good transport links with local bus stops. Walton-on-Thames train station is a 10 minute walk away, with Hersham train station being a 25 minute walk away. There are local convenience shops which are a 5 minute walk from the nursery. This setting is located near the heart of the town and provides a car park for the team to use. In 2024, our team were awarded a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating.
Nursery Nurse for Walton-on-Thames, KT12 5NS
This is an exciting and fulfilling role that incorporates lots of variety. As a Nursery Nurse, you will spend your days looking after children from 3 months old, right up to pre-school age. You’ll ensure that the children have fun whilst being sensitive and attentive to their individual needs.
This role is open to those with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, and we may consider those with a Level 2 qualification. Full time (40 hours) and Part time (20 hours, 11am-3pm) required. We are also recruiting for qualified Nursery Nurses to join our Supply Team.
Salary up to £29,57.60 per annum
Room Leader for Walton-on-Thames, KT12 5NS
You’re an able and enthusiastic leader, a people person who can communicate well with others at all levels, from employees to young children. With previous experience of leading a team, you’ll have an excellent understanding of all standards and requirements that our nursery needs to comply with, including the EYFS, Ofsted and Health and Safety.
Salary up to £32,552 per annum

Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Working together with the rest of the team to provide high quality care for children aged 0-5.
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.
- Using your knowledge, experience and imagination to come up with new ideas and activities.
- Building relationships with children and communicating well with their parents.
- Making sure every working day is fun!
Your Qualifications And Experience
- Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
- To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
- A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
