As part of our growth, we’re looking for a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Clerk to join our team and play a key role in keeping the business financially strong and customer accounts running smoothly.

The Role

As a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Clerk, you’ll be the person who ensures payments are on track, accounts are accurate, and customers are supported. This isn’t just about balancing the books; it’s about protecting the business, supporting our teams, and helping us grow.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Posting and allocating daily receipts to keep accounts clear and up-to-date.
  • Monitoring accounts and chasing overdue payments to keep cash flowing.
  • Identifying risks and placing accounts on hold when necessary.
  • Resolving queries around invoices, purchase orders, or account details.
  • Ensuring new customer accounts are set up correctly and all checks are complete.
  • Supporting colleagues across the team and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Weekly Debt Reviews via Team’s with the depots.
  • Support & covering the Purchase Ledger during busy periods & holidays.

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s organised, detail-focused, and confident working with numbers.

You’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and administration skills
