We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician at our Nottingham Vehicle Maintenance Unit.
Working Hours
- Working hours: 40 per week
- Working pattern: Rotating shifts
- Week 1: 06:00-14:30 Mon-Fri
- Week 2: 12:30-21:00 Mon-Fri
- However, flexible hours can be considered for the right candidate.
Salary
- Salary: Base pay £21.70 per hour.
- Premia paid for hours worked between 7pm - 10pm (£2.23 per hour), and 10pm - 6am (£2.70 per hour).
What you will be doing
- Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties.
- Completing signed service and inspection records.
- Completing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
- Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass.
- Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects.
What you bring with you
- Your skill and applicable licenses, our vocational training, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one).
- Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing / troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components.
- Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driving license.
