KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct technical work leading to the successful completion of projects
- Oversee and manage complex consulting projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and within‑budget delivery
- Team Management and Mentoring
- Mentor and develop junior consultants and team members
- Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment
- Technical Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Stay up to date with industry development, regulatory changes and power systems technologies
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and networking events
REQUIREMENTS
Essential requirements include:
- Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Proven experience preparing high‑quality technical reports
- Hands‑on experience with power system modelling and analysis using tools such as IPSA, DIgSILENT Power Factory, or PSCAD
- Strong understanding of GB transmission and distribution networks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver technical work independently or as part of a team
- Confident engaging with clients and building long‑term professional relationships
- Well‑rounded individual with the ability to deliver work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to engage with clients, forming long‑term and mutually beneficial relationships
- Experience with Python for analysis or automation
- Background in detailed HV electrical design and relevant standards
- Experience developing proposals or bids for UK or international clients
- Understanding of the energy regulatory environment
- Knowledge of HV asset management practices
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities
