Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct technical works leading to the successful completion of projects.
- Oversee and manage complex consulting projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants and team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and networking events.
Requirements
- Degree/Masters degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related qualification.
- At least 2 years relevant industry experience.
- Experience in writing project reports.
- Experience of network modelling and analysis in at least one of the commercial software packages such as IPSA, DIgSILENT powerfactory and PSCAD.
- Knowledge of the Great Britain transmission and distribution systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-rounded individual with the ability to deliver work individually, or as part of a team.
- Ability to engage with clients, forming long term and mutually beneficial relationships.
- Knowledge of python programming.
- Experience in detailed HV electrical design and relevant standards.
- Experience in writing proposals for clients in the UK and abroad.
- Experience in the Regulatory (Energy) sector.
- Experience in HV Asset Management.
- Commercial awareness and pro-active in seeking out new business opportunities.
The Position
The TNEI Energy Networks team assists network companies, governments and regulators with specialist studies, data analysis, and the development of innovative planning tools and services. We are looking for a full-time Power Systems Technical Consultant with specialised experience and commercial awareness of the GB power system. This role is suited to an experienced power systems engineer with a focus on project management and technical leadership. As a Power Systems Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our consultancy services.
