SALARY: Competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
LOCATION: Glasgow or Newcastle upon Tyne. There will be a requirement for travel to undertake site work, which may require some nights away from home.
THE POSITION
We’re searching for a Graduate Consultant to join our Environment Noise prediction and propagation modelling; Input to technical noise assessment reports; and Modelling input and reporting for other technical studies, such as shadow flicker assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
- An acoustics, physics, maths or engineering related degree;
- Strong general numeric and mathematical skills;
- Full Driving Licence;
- Proactive team player;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proactive and solution orientated with strong attention to detail;
- Interest in energy and the environment;
- An ability to understand and explain abstract concepts in a clear way to technical and non-technical audiences;
- Experience of data management and analysis;
- Coding skills, especially python;
- Affiliation with the Institute of Acoustics.
