The Position We’re searching for a Graduate Consultant to join our Environment & Engineering Team. Applicants should have an academic background in acoustics, physics, maths, or engineering, to assist our acoustics consultants with noise propagation modelling and data analysis. The Environmental & Engineering team assists developers in taking energy projects from conceptual ideas to buildable assets. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful consultancy work, help shape client outcomes, and play an important part in the continued development of our services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Data analysis of measured data;
- Noise prediction and propagation modelling;
- Input to technical noise assessment reports;
- Modelling input and reporting for other technical studies, such as shadow flicker assessments.
Requirements
- An acoustics, physics, maths or engineering related degree;
- Strong general numeric and mathematical skills;
- Full Driving Licence;
- Proactive team player;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proactive and solution orientated with strong attention to detail;
- Interest in energy and the environment;
- An ability to understand and explain abstract concepts in a clear way to technical and non‑technical audiences;
- Experience of data management and analysis;
- Coding skills, especially python;
- Affiliation with the Institute of Acoustics.
