As a Dialysis Technician, you will assist in providing life-sustaining dialysis treatment to patients with kidney failure in both acute and chronic care settings. You\’ll work closely with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
As a Dialysis Technician, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Prepare and operate dialysis machines and related equipment
Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols
Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
Respond to complications or alarms during dialysis procedures
Ensure accurate documentation of treatment details and patient responses
Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis equipment and work areas
Maintain inventory of supplies and report equipment issues as needed
Educate patients on dialysis procedures and care of vascular access sites
Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a Dialysis Technician. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and hold the CCHT National Certification. State licensure may be required.
Dialysis Technicians should be able to stand and move for extended periods, work with sharp instruments and machines, and remain focused in high-stress clinical environments.
