We are looking for an experienced Technical Services Engineer – Processing, to join our busy Technical Services Team. This position is responsible for providing technical expertise, troubleshooting and support for food processing equipment, to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The role involves travelling to customer sites, diagnosing and resolving technical issues. It will also involve performing equipment installations, conducting training sessions and collaborating with internal teams to enhance product reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Installation and commissioning of new food processing systems at customer sites
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to resolve customer equipment issues promptly
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software related problems in food processing equipment
  • Ensure all systems are set up and calibrated to meet performance standards and customer requirements
  • Lead onsite customer trials, PDI’s and SAT’s
  • Deliver comprehensive training to operators, technicians and customers on equipment operation, maintenance and safety
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and training materials
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve product performance and address field related issues
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety and environmental standards

Qualification and Experience:

  • Level 4 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field qualification
  • BS7671 qualification
  • Gas safety awareness training advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical support or field service role, preferably in the food processing industry
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and internal teams
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within the UK and across Europe/rest of the world, as and when required
