About The Role
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our electrical team. The role involves designing control panels and completing installation kits for food distribution lines and equipment. The candidate will also be responsible for design calculations and accompanying documentation for specifying hardware and designing internal layout of control panels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical and electronic designs for TNA products and new projects
- Develop PLC hardware designs for systems where required
- Understand the use and implementation of PC and PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
- Working closely with the on–site Manufacturing department to provide technical support when required
- Provide advice and technical support to internal Projects team on electrical issues
- Responsible for design developments, managing timescales and reporting on progress
- Develop documents such as test procedures, BOMs, cable schedules and supporting documents for manuals
- Document to the required level for CE compliance, the electrics of equipment developed
- Occasional domestic and international travel to commission equipment when required
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience/apprenticeship
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience of using AutoCAD Electrical is advantageous for developing wiring schematics
- Exposure to UL/CE/UKCA certification would be advantageous
- Knowledge/experience of machinery directive/machinery regulations
- Exposure to electrical layout, circuit boards, PLC, machinery safety, bills of materials is required
- Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food and beverage or packaging) is advantageous
