Welding Inspector

An opportunity has arisen for Welding Inspectors based in Belfast.

Key skills required for this role:

Responsibilities:

1. Visually inspect all welds for compliance to standard.
2. Carry out weld audits to determine the degree of compliance with the approved Weld Procedures.
3. Organisation and facilitation of NDT to appropriate qualified and authorised subcontractors.
4. Daily liaison with Supervisors and project personnel.
5. Carry out surveillance activities in accordance with the Project Inspection & Test Plan.
6. Support the requirement for overtime or weekend working as necessary.

HSE:

1. All work to be carried out in line with H&W Safe Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments.
2. Proactive identification and recording of any workplace risks for rectification.
3. Ensure appropriate PPE is worn in site areas where any construction/fabrication or related activities are taking place.
4. Reporting of all Incidents, Accidents or Asset Damage.

Qualifications / Experience:

1. Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
2. Appropriate professional qualifications (CSWIP 3.2 and above).
3. High level communication skills (written and oral) and computer literacy.

Contract approx. 4-6 months.

12 hours shifts/Rotating Nights & Days.
