In this role, you will be a key player in defining and executing crucial engineering tasks, ensuring technical excellence, and driving team collaboration to achieve remarkable results.
As a Weights Engineer, you'll be responsible for planning and executing engineering tasks within your scope, including guiding and managing any subordinate staff under your supervision. Work closely with your line manager to develop effective work plans, employing the most efficient engineering methods to achieve your objectives. Ensure the technical quality of your work and that of your team aligns with the high standards expected, delivering accurate and reliable results.
Foster strong interactions with your team, customers, and other stakeholders, championing the best interests of the team, department, and company. Contribute innovative ideas to enhance Weights Engineering toolsets and processes, supporting the continuous development within our discipline capability framework.
Deep understanding of weights engineering processes and methods related to aircraft structures and systems, including early lifecycle weight assessment, center of gravity, inertia property evaluation, and weight target management.
Degree/HND/HNC in a STEM field or equivalent professional qualifications. Solid experience in Weights Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related airframe disciplines. Previous experience in managing staff is an added advantage.
