Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning of mechanical fluid systems, including hydraulics, fuel systems, compressed air, fuel oil, and ventilation systems on defense marine vessels.
- Perform detailed testing and validation to ensure all systems meet performance and safety standards, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools.
- Analyze system performance and optimize operational efficiency during commissioning.
- Prepare commissioning reports, technical documentation, and performance records for stakeholders.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues during testing or operation, implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance.
- Conduct commissioning activities in accordance with marine and defense industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure smooth system integration and handover.
- Serve as a technical contact for clients during commissioning, communicating progress, issues, and solutions clearly.
- Support operational staff training on system use, maintenance, and operation.
- Perform inspections and quality assessments to ensure standards compliance, including military specifications.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of marine systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as hydraulic, fuel systems, or marine engineering are advantageous.

Experience
- Over 5 years in marine commissioning or maintenance, especially in defense/naval projects.
- Familiarity with military standards (e.g., DEF STAN, MIL-SPEC).
- Experience with commissioning tools, CAD, and marine diagnostics.
- Ability to work in shipyards and onboard vessels, including confined spaces or at heights.
