THE ROLE

The business is looking for a warehouse operative to join their team. You will be responsible for the picking, packing and despatch of their products. The role has good incentives such as free lunch based on team performance and regular work night outs. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• You will pick items correctly from sales orders, using bin locations where applicable
• You will check these orders and report low stock levels to the purchasing team
• You will carry out stock takes as and when required
• You will keep the warehouse clean, tidy and Safeguard Financial Services
• You will report any health and safety issues to your supervisor
• You will pack orders safely and securely
• You will have a keen eye for detail using scales to correctly weigh product
• You will carry out handballing duties moving around products in the warehouse

THE PERSON

It’s essential that you have experience in a similar type of role to carry out the duties set out above. Some other qualities you will have for the role include:

• You will need to be physically fit to carry out the duties outlined above
• You are an effective communicator and able to interact with customers
• You do not need a fork lift licence for this role
• You will be a team player and be able to interact with your peers
• You will ensure tasks are carried out safely and efficiently
• You will be open to development as opportunities will be given
