VP / Director, Investment Banking, Mining

The successful candidate will join the team as either VP or Director (to be determined based on experience) and will report into the Managing Director, Head of EMEA Mining. They are expected to be a highly credible investment banker with existing relationships in the Metals & Mining sector in the UK and Europe, with a successful track record in executing investment banking mandates.

The role involves:

• Covering TD Securities' existing Mining sector client relationships in the UK and Europe and helping grow these relationships, increasing business levels in both regional and cross-border activities, primarily in M&A.
• Developing transaction ideas and discussing them at appropriate levels with clients and senior team members.
• Leading interactions with clients at all levels (CEO, CFO, Treasurer, etc.).
• Developing revenue generation plans across product areas and executing transactions.
• Demonstrating relevant market, industry, and product knowledge.
• Structuring and delivering high-impact presentations.
• Directing, training, and developing junior team members to meet challenges and department objectives.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in relevant fields with outstanding academic qualifications.
• 7+ years of investment banking or relevant experience, with a dedication to building a career in investment banking.
• Experience in investment banking coverage of large-cap companies.
• Proficiency in qualitative industry analysis and valuation tools.
• Experience drafting offering memorandums, client presentations, and transaction documents.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and client-focused skills.
• Strategic, creative thinking, and excellent communication skills.
• Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, and a strong work ethic.
• Extensive Metals and Mining Sector banking expertise, with relevant experience across sub-sectors.
• Strong origination and execution skills, including financial modeling for M&A and Capital Markets.
• High energy to drive a broad calling plan regionally.
