Job Description:

VP of Global Communications – (QSR) NYC or London $325K US $300 GBP FT in office + bonus and very lucrative incentives.

A leading Quick Service Restaurant chain with a global presence is seeking a strategic and dynamic VP of Global Communications to lead our communication efforts on a global scale.

Reporting directly to the CMO, the VP Communications will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the global communications strategy for our brand. This strategic leader will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand reputation, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving consistent messaging across diverse markets.

  1. Identify key target audiences and tailor communication approaches to resonate with various stakeholders, including customers, franchisees, investors, employees, and media.
  2. Craft and refine our brand narrative, ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels and touchpoints.
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with global media outlets, industry influencers, and key journalists.
  4. Act as the primary spokesperson for the company, addressing media inquiries and participating in interviews as needed.
  5. Develop robust crisis communication plans to effectively manage potential reputational risks and respond to crises in a timely and strategic manner.
  6. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging during crisis situations.
  7. Build and nurture relationships with franchisees, investors, industry associations, and community partners.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their communication needs and support their initiatives.
  9. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute global campaigns that effectively promote new menu items, promotions, and initiatives.
  10. Ensure alignment between marketing and communications strategies to maximize impact.
  11. Implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  12. Provide regular reports to leadership on the success of global communication efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor\’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Master\’s degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience (minimum 8-10 years) in a senior communications role, preferably within the QSR or food and beverage industry.
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for various audiences.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in crisis communication and issues management.
  5. Proven success in media relations, with a track record of securing positive media coverage.
  6. Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication initiatives with business objectives.
  7. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a global communications team.
  8. Flexibility to travel as needed to support global communication efforts.
