Responsibilities
The role involves providing administrative and operational support to the underwriting division, ensuring efficient processes that serve both internal teams and external clients. The Senior Underwriting Assistant will manage a team of offshore resources, oversee risk entry activities, and adapt across various classes of business. Key responsibilities include:
- Scaling, training, and managing an outsourced processing team, ensuring KPI adherence and high customer satisfaction.
- Training and coordinating risk entry activities for E&S UA resources, maintaining consistency and best practices.
- Controlling risk data entry, ensuring accurate and timely filing and updates.
- Managing document storage and compliance with regulatory policies.
- Monitoring income, chasing late payments and renewals, and preparing relevant statistics.
- Supporting peer review processes and account analysis.
- Assisting with delegated underwriting and liaising with exposure management.
- Handling renewal chasing, research, process improvements, and other ad hoc tasks as required.
