Job Title: Senior Underwriter

We are working within an innovative and data-driven syndicate that has a newly created role for a London market Senior Underwriter. This is an underwriting role with a difference; you will predominantly focus on US excess and surplus lines risks. In addition, you will be responsible for the risk selection strategy, business planning, growth, and overall performance of the portfolio, as well as managing a team of underwriters and pricing specialists.

There is a lot of investment being made into this division to support growth ambitions, so we are seeking an individual who is ambitious and can demonstrate leadership qualities. This role has a strong succession path and the potential to sit on leadership committees. We are willing to consider CVs of individuals from any global line of business, whether from a reinsurance or insurance portfolio. A foundation in an actuarial or pricing capacity is essential for this role.
