Social network you want to login/join with: Job Title: Drone Training Manager We are recruiting for a Training Operations Manager (UAV / Drone Training) to head up the training department of a successful and established commercial UAV company. The role will involve providing drone operation and pilot training to multiple clients on various UAV products, as well as oversight and management of legal and compliance processes within the training schedule. The position is based in West Yorkshire but will require occasional travel across the UK. It is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. The basic salary is up to £55,000, with mileage and travel expenses paid (including company credit card). Benefits include 26 days holiday plus statutory holidays, healthcare, and sick pay after probation. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date training curriculum, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Lead the training team to achieve SLA training objectives. Create, update, and maintain training materials and curricula for drone operations, ensuring content aligns with CAA requirements and legislation. Conduct regular assessments of training effectiveness. Ensure zero non-conformities in internal audits. Maintain up-to-date operational authorizations, renewing them annually, and ensure all internal pilots complete refresher training and maintain flight hours. Ensure demo drones are properly maintained. Develop and maintain training literature and digital guides for the correct use of specialist equipment, including certified exams. Investigate safety-related incidents during courses or practical assessments, and implement structured safety risk management procedures, keeping all paperwork current and risks reported. Review the performance of Course Instructors and Flight Examiners in training and assessment activities. Ensure high standards of training across the customer base, review training policies and processes, and ensure all operations comply with CAA and other legal requirements. Requirements: Minimum 5 years in a customer-facing management role within the drone industry. Experience with Safety Management Systems. GVC holder. Full driving license. Customer-focused and client-facing skills. Excellent communication skills for training and instruction both internally and with clients. Willingness to develop and grow within the role as the team expands. Thorough understanding of current and future CAA regulations. Genuine interest in UAV/Drone technology with the ability to share knowledge for proper equipment operation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
