Trusts & Fiduciary Executive Role
The purpose of the Trusts & Fiduciary Executive role is to work within the Trusts & Fiduciary sub-team, administering a portfolio of trusts and assisting with estate administration and compliance. This position involves collaboration primarily with the Team Principal and the Tax & Trusts Team.
Accountabilities
The role and responsibilities include:
- Administering a portfolio of trusts for trustee clients.
- Scheduling and completing trust income tax returns, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax filings during tax seasons.
- Preparing annual trust accounts using specialist accounting software.
- Conducting general trust administration and communicating with trustees and professional advisers.
- Preparing and submitting FATCA, CRS returns, and complex estate filings.
- Preparing trustee minutes and resolutions.
- Reviewing trust fund investments quarterly and reporting to trustees.
- Promoting the trust and tax functions within and outside the firm.
- Developing opportunities with existing clients.
Candidate Profile
Our ideal candidate will have experience in trust administration, including:
- Preparation of trust and personal tax returns, inheritance tax accounts.
- Trust account preparation.
- Client-facing roles and liaising with HMRC and third parties.
- Understanding of IHT and tax planning.
- At least 2 years’ experience in personal tax and trust administration.
- Knowledge of accounts practices and Inheritance Tax.
- Qualifications such as STEP, ATT, or ACCA are desirable.
