Our Travel and Tourism section at our West London College offers a range of travel-related courses to our learners, with a focus on the airline/aviation and hospitality industries. Working with local employers at and around Heathrow airport, we successfully prepare learners for careers in the sector and/or higher education. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and successful team on a full-time basis, to teach on a range of Travel and Tourism courses to our students, predominantly 16–19-year-olds, specialising in Aviation, from Level 1 to Level 5. You will need to possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area (a degree is highly desirable) and have experience of working in the travel industry including experience of aviation, together with some teaching or training experience. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage and motivate young vocational learners aged 16-19. Person Specification: * A degree in a relevant subject and have teaching experience in the subject area up to Level 3 in Travel & Tourism – essential * You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19 *An advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET, PGCE) ** or willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification, supported by the College * A clean driving licence, and ability and willingness to undertake minibus driving training – essential *Able to demonstrate a high standard of teaching and student achievement *Experience of working within the travel & tourism industry, including experience of the aviation industry *Experience of delivering BTEC, City & Guilds, NFCE qualifications and HE qualifications If you are interested in this FE Electrical Installation Lecturer opportunity, APPLY NOW to be considered for an interview!
