Gregory Distribution Ltd (GDL) is seeking a dedicated Training Business Partner to join our Thorne depot. This role is essential in ensuring our drivers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain high safety standards, comply with industry regulations, and meet company objectives. You will work closely with management across multiple sites to implement effective training programs that drive change, enhance safety, and ensure operational excellence.
The position involves:
- Collaborating with management teams across designated sites to identify training needs, establish annual training plans, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Championing safety initiatives and driving change in collaboration with site management.
- Providing comprehensive driver training, including mandatory Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training.
- Developing and delivering Task-Specific Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training and other specialist training modules.
- Conducting the Group Induction for all new employees, ensuring thorough introduction to company standards and expectations.
- Providing BRC Quality Standards training.
- Leading or assisting in incident investigations, performing root cause analyses to inform preventative measures.
- Training 'Authorised Site Specialists' in specialist areas such as LST and Assessor training.
- Engaging with customers to ensure training aligns with client expectations and addresses specific needs.
Minimum requirements:
- At least 3 years of driving experience with Category C+E (LGV) and a clean record (no more than 3 penalty points).
- Demonstrable experience in a training or assessing role.
- Strong understanding of LGV regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and travel as required across sites.
- Teaching qualification (PTTLS or Level 3 EAT).
- LGV Assessment or Instructional Qualification.
- Experience with Quality Standards.
