Pay and Hours

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores inside the M25. For hours worked between midnight and 6am, you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, but options for fewer hours (minimum 12) are available.

We will schedule your hours within the availability windows you provide, with 3 weeks\’ notice of your shifts. We support flexibility; if your availability closely matches but is not exactly within the advertised times, we still encourage you to apply.
