The Role of the Territory Sales Manager:

  • Selling patient handling portfolio: patient slide sheets, warming, repositioning, transfer & turning devices, care management systems, prone & pressure area care.
  • Engaging mainly with clinicians and theatre managers, and procurement at the end of the sales process.
  • Highly consultative approach—spending time with clinicians before product demos.
  • Meeting with approximately 2 contacts daily to support, discuss problems (e.g., patient transfer), and explain product solutions.
  • Demonstrating products, often playing the part of the patient.
  • Covering Scotland, with occasional travel across borders, ideally based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dumfries, Dundee, or Abington.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • OCT/Manual Handling/Physio background, seeking transition into a commercial role.
  • Excellent personality and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly consultative, capable of identifying problems and providing solutions.
  • Focus on solutions and problem-solving rather than price-based selling.
  • Thorough knowledge of NHS operations, either through direct employment or as a supplier to NHS Trusts.
