As a Manager within our Technology Sourcing capability, you will help our clients exploit their supply chains to effect high value technology transformation in support of their broader business transformation agendas.
What will you be doing?
- Working with KPMG colleagues, client teams, and C Level client resources to assist clients in understanding how technology providers, systems integrators, and service partners can deliver the capabilities required to effect and assure transformation.
- Assist clients to build and implement sourcing strategies and underpinning supplier strategies to effect broader technology and business strategy.
- Bring expert knowledge of suppliers and commercial constructs to assist clients and their legal advisors in the negotiation of robust operationally deliverable contracts.
- Assist clients with the transition of services to an inbound supplier and provide the expertise to help the client assure post contract value realisation.
- Understand a broad set of Technology Transformation services (e.g. IT operating model, cost optimisation) delivered to our clients and the dependencies that arise when operating a large multi-disciplinary programme.
- You will work as part of an engagement team in a leading capacity to deliver high-quality products and outcomes to our clients and identify further opportunities to support them for the wider KPMG firm.
What will you need to do it?
- You will have experience in supporting the delivery of sourcing strategies and transactions within one or more technology domains, such as Private / Public Hosting Services and Connectivity, System Integration, Digital Workplace, ERP Transformation Programmes.
- Experience of influencing and advising senior IT delivery and sourcing stakeholders.
- Defining and managing projects or material workstreams relating to the sourcing process encompassing market tender and single source techniques.
- Defining commercial and operational / technical requirements in your domain of experience – leveraging the detailed technical expertise of a broader organisation.
- Demonstrable knowledge of pricing, evaluation, and selection methods.
Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:
- You may have a background in delivery, the scoping and selling of complex IT solutions in a sell-side organisation or in a strategic sourcing function working closely with technology delivery functions.
- Experience gained in a client-facing consulting role.
- Experience in defining and implementing Technology Sourcing strategies for ERP transformation programmes e.g. SAP S4 HANA, Workday.
