Our client is a large, multi-national facilities management organisation hiring a Technical Services Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work at a prestigious site in central London.

As Technical Services Manager, you will provide unparalleled technical leadership and operational excellence within our Facilities Management team at prestigious client locations. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic, customer-focused individual with a proven track record in building services and mechanical engineering. Key duties will include:

  1. Lead the delivery of Technical Services, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with statutory maintenance, and adherence to SLAs for both planned and reactive maintenance.
  2. Drive team performance, offering hands-on leadership to enhance service delivery, reduce subcontractor dependency, and upskill the team.
  3. Engage in strategic client conversations to advocate for engineering excellence and future-proofing estate management.
  4. Ensure 100% uptime of critical assets, maintaining compliance with organisation and client-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) policies.
  5. Provide technical supervision and guidance to the engineering team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, technical problem-solving, and innovation.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience in a technical management role within commercial property. You will also require:

  1. Extensive experience in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering within prestigious environments, supported by ONC/HNC or equivalent qualifications.
  2. Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in motivating teams under pressure and driving first-time fix solutions.
  3. In-depth knowledge of engineering compliance, health and safety standards, and best practices, including the 18th Edition qualification.
  4. Exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and planning skills, with a self-motivated and resourceful approach to challenges.
  5. Proficiency in IT and computerised Maintenance Management Systems, with Maximo experience being highly desirable.

What you’ll get in return

When successful in securing this role, you will receive a permanent contract with a large FM provider. You will also receive:

  • Up to £60,000 salary
  • 25 days leave + bank holidays
