About the Project:
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a challenging and rewarding gas field development project. You will leverage your expertise to contribute to the safe and successful delivery of this vital project.
About the Role:
- Provide specialist technical safety advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle (feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, and execution).
- Conduct hazard identification, analysis, and risk assessments (HARA) using established methodologies (e.g., FMEA, FTA).
- Develop and implement a safety management plan (SMP) aligned with regulations and standards.
- Review and assess engineering designs, procedures, and work plans for safety.
- Participate in design reviews (HAZOP, HAZID) ensuring safety considerations are addressed.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to promote safety culture.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, permits, and risk registers.
- Support regulatory compliance and interface with authorities.
- Contribute to safety process improvements.
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Safety Engineer in oil and gas.
- Strong understanding of safety legislation (e.g., D HSE Regulations).
- Experience in conducting HARA studies with recognized methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety management systems (SMS) and developing SMPs.
- Experience reviewing engineering designs for safety.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
