At Southern Water, we are expanding our Developer Services team, and we’re looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our water connection services. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dynamic team, support our customers, and ensure the successful management of key projects.
What Youβll Be Doing
Lead and Inspire β Manage a team of 9 technical and customer service professionals, supporting their development and ensuring industry compliance.
Customer-Focused Leadership β Be the key contact for housing developers and homeowners, guiding them through their journey from planning to connection.
Technical Oversight β Oversee the evaluation and approval of applications for new water connections (Section 45), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Engineering Problem Solving β Deliver innovative and practical solutions for complex developer applications.
Stakeholder Engagement β Represent Southern Water at meetings with customers, developers, and key stakeholders to maintain strong industry relationships.
Regulatory Excellence β Stay ahead of industry and regulatory changes, updating technical guidance and ensuring governance compliance.
Performance Management β Drive the success of our Developer Services team by meeting key performance targets, including D-MeX qualitative and quantitative measures.
What Weβre Looking For
- Experience leading a team in a customer-focused, target-driven environment.
- Strong background in civil engineering, construction, utilities, or telecoms within a corporate setting.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and driving continuous improvement.
