You will have strong business development client facing skills with a proven history of identifying opportunities and converting them into commercial projects.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong business relationships across a portfolio of clients and actively build an internal network and range of experience to address client needs;
- Lead the delivery of outsourced tax reporting engagements with tax technical excellence and efficiency.
- Lead the delivery of corporate tax compliance engagements and the management of compliance outsourcing contracts;
- Help clients to drive efficiency through the compliance process, improving controls, and leveraging technology;
- Lead teams who provide advice to clients on the tax implications of new legislation and responding to client requests for ad hoc technical advice;
- Provide compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems;
- Be confident interacting at the most senior levels internally and externally, while at the same time able to interact well with peers and other more junior members of the team;
- Identify additional services that the client may need and liaise with subject specialists;
- Lead the business development process to progress leads to sales and taking responsibility for contract negotiation and agreement;
- Lead teams who support clients with their group/statutory Tax Reporting needs; including delivery and project management on global outsource contracts under US GAAP and IFRS;
- Coach and provide support for other team members;
- Follow KPMG best practice and policy;
- Have a positive and enthusiastic manner in dealing with a cross section of people;
- Demonstrate strong resilience to enable flexibility in approach and ability to work under pressure;
- Be an effective networker with ability to understand client needs.
Qualifications and skills:
- We welcome applications from those qualified by experience as well as ATT/CTA/ACA or equivalent qualifications. Tax reporting/accounting skills are highly desirable.
- Deep working knowledge and experience of UK corporate tax legislation and compliance with a focus on large and complex groups;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to a range of situations and audiences from both written and oral perspective;
- Strong attention to detail, to enable you to review complex technical, whilst maintaining a client service focused perspective, for all deliverables we produce for our clients;
- Sustains a high level of leadership and drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work;
- Builds co-operative relationships and fosters an environment in which everyone’s opinion is valued;
- Excellent project management skills and an ability to manage your own workload, as well the workloads of others in your team;
