Tax Assistant Manager – Global Mobility Services
Base Location: North of England / Midlands / South of England / London with a network of 20 offices across the UK.

KPMG\’s Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice is a diverse, fast-growing part of our Tax division, serving major clients in the Financial Services sector worldwide.
Our GMS teams provide comprehensive, 360-degree services, including tax technical advice, team leadership, and client engagement.
You will advise on complex personnel challenges, such as cross-border, remote, and virtual assignments, collaborating with experts in tax, immigration, and mobility administration, utilizing advanced technology tools to create opportunities for clients and your career growth.
What will you be doing?
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Serving as the primary contact for assigned clients.
- Reviewing tax returns and preparing/reviewing Income Tax/NIC calculations.
- Conducting arrival and departure briefings.
- Supporting client service teams for smooth operations.
- Preparing written advice and guiding clients on GMS issues.
- Managing advisory projects for clients.
- Providing clients with updates on GMS developments.
- Participating in business development and proposal activities.
- Managing and mentoring junior staff.
- Handling large and mid-sized client accounts.
What will you need to do it?
- ATT qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in international tax services, particularly UK Expat tax, including tax filings and advisory roles.
- Experience managing global assignee populations, immigration, social security, and compensation across countries.
- Energetic, committed, and ambitious mindset.
- High personal responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback.
- Strong analytical skills to identify core issues and evaluate information.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to uphold KPMG’s reputation through quality work and expertise.
- Passion for international tax work and leadership in global service teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and apply knowledge to complex situations.
- Sound professional judgment and ability to consult with senior staff when necessary.
