Systems Integration Engineer

Fabulous opportunity in Bristol for a System Integration Engineer to join a leading global 5G wireless company.

The Systems Integration Engineer will deliver innovative functionalities to customers and optimise the next generation of Open-RAN base-station products in LTE and 5G NR Cellular Networks and be responsible for:

1. Systems integration engineer for 5G/4G/2G base station products
2. Platform bring-up – BIOS, OS, networking, platform services
3. Integration of complex multi-node, multi-applications embedded systems onto Linux GPP-based server platforms (Intel, AMD, Arm)
4. End-to-end full telco stack bring-up, from core network to radio
5. Performance evaluation and analysis

Suitable Systems Integration Engineers will have excellent academics and proven expertise. You should be able to demonstrate:

1. Independent problem solver with strong software skills
2. Effective team player, able to work as part of a global multidisciplinary team
3. Desire to work in a mixed office and lab environment
4. Practical experience of Linux architecture alongside networking
5. Working experience in Docker containers, ideally cloud native deployments
6. It would be advantageous to have C/C++ experience of high-performance, ideally real-time applications
7. An understanding of one or more wireless or telecoms standards
8. Experience of participating in plugfest or other IoT events
9. Experience of RF test equipment
