Role Focus
The role focuses on devising and implementing a robust control framework across various areas of TCE business, with a particular emphasis on leading sustainability risk management. It involves collaborating with the Sustainability team and SBU sustainability teams to build capacity in managing sustainability risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Drive risk and control ownership in the first line of defense.
- Support second line assurance over controls to senior management.
- Act as a liaison between the Risk Team and front-line business functions and leaders.
- Provide training, support, and facilitate communication regarding risk management.
- Work closely with key stakeholders including the Head of Internal Audit, Chief Sustainability Officer, and SBU Directors of Sustainability.
- Support reporting to Sustainability and Audit Committees.
- Lead and support the management of sustainability risks, including actioning controls and reporting.
- Develop a 3-year resilience and adaptation plan aligned with the TCFD roadmap.
Sustainability Risk Understanding
- Technical knowledge of TCFD framework and climate risk analysis.
- Understanding of climate data, metrics, tools, and scenario analysis.
- Knowledge of quant models and bridging business units with research tools.
- Technical knowledge of TNFD framework and nature risk analysis.
Risk and Control Environment
- Assist in risk identification, scoring, and management.
- Collaborate with the Sustainability Reporting team on disclosures.
- Establish and oversee risk escalation processes.
- Develop control standards and ensure their implementation.
Committee Support
- Support effective risk management at operational and strategic levels.
- Assist in developing risk registers and information flows.
- Monitor emerging risks and escalate as needed.
