Libertatem Healthcare Group is seeking experienced Spinal Injury Support Workers to work with a spinal injury client in Llandudno. The role requires flexibility to cover all shift patterns on a planned rota basis, including days and waking nights, as the client cannot be left alone and colleagues' leave and absences must be covered.
Hours: 12-hour shifts from Monday to Sunday, with days from 8 am to 8 pm and nights from 8 pm to 8 am.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting independence and rehabilitation goals
- Providing personal care, household chores, social activities, and assisting with holidays
- Driving a wheelchair accessible van as needed
- Supporting mobility, feeding, bathing, dressing, and managing neurogenic bladder and bowel care
- Domestic tasks, meal preparation, shopping, and appointment accompaniment
- Providing emotional support and monitoring health and skin integrity
- Administering medication and assisting with rehabilitation activities
- Documenting progress and changes in the service user's condition
Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided. Support from a clinical lead nurse will also be available.
