Pertemps is working with our client based in Burton-on-Trent who is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with flexibility if needed.

As a Supply Chain Planner, your responsibilities will include contacting customers daily to advise on stock exceptions and working as part of the Supply Chain Team to manage the stock replenishment process for all products.

You will also help ensure stock availability throughout the supply chain to meet customer demand and deliver a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers.

Job Description

  1. Ensure sufficient finished goods stocks are available to meet forecasted requirements.
  2. Maintain short-term booking schedules around depot capabilities, working hours, and labor availability.
  3. Minimize write-offs and manage stock availability to achieve customer service targets.
  4. Ensure on-time deliveries of finished stocks, including supplier management and relationships.
  5. Produce department KPI reports.
  6. Manage inventory levels of finished stock to department targets.
  7. Communicate any shortages that will affect the delivery plan to key stakeholders.
  8. Process and formulate information gathered from the wider business into the inbound plan.
  9. Manage and engage with third-party suppliers.
  10. Implement strategies for resource optimization.
  11. Analyze and improve inventory processes.

Qualifications

  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail to prevent ordering errors causing write-offs or customer failure.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to demand changes.
  • Experience with stock planning ERP systems.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment.
