Planner Role:

  • Manage Projects: Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of planning projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Support Planning Applications: Assist with the preparation, submission, and negotiation of planning applications and planning statements.
  • Promote Development: Advocate for large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments through planning systems such as the Local Development Framework and Development Management System.
  • Research and Site Appraisals: Conduct site evaluations, research political and demographic areas, and provide detailed analysis to inform planning decisions.
  • Client and Team Collaboration: Build relationships with clients, local authorities, and consultants. Actively contribute to project teams and collaborate with senior planners to ensure project success.

Planner Ideal Skills:

  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members in a professional manner.
  • Research and Analytical Ability: A keen interest in researching planning policies, conducting site appraisals, and producing insightful reports.
