About The Role
Reporting to a Regional Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and managing store operations to ensure the availability of products and services, optimal efficiency, minimisation of waste, and the delivery of a high quality service
- Continually monitoring store performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement, and managing improvement initiatives through to implementation, to ensure the high performance of the store
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and company standards to contribute to an outstanding store environment for our customers
- Managing risk in the store to ensure risks are identified, documented and mitigated against
- Creating a strong customer service culture in store to ensure a high quality customer experience in line with the Morrisons brand
- Building and managing relationships with the local community to effectively promote Morrisons and contribute to the communities we operate in
- Leading colleagues to create the conditions that allow them to perform at their best and to support their development
- Providing strong leadership and high quality colleague facilities, ensuring the store is a great place for people to work
- Driving and delivering sales in line with the business plan, proactively identifying and seizing opportunities, to contribute to the commercial success of Morrisons
- Minimising costs whilst maintaining great customer service to ensure maximum profit and competitiveness
About You
- Experience of managing a store in a fast paced food retail environment is essential for this role
- Strong leadership skills, including strong communication, motivational and talent management skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Demonstrable experience of driving performance improvement
- An ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- Analytical thinking skills
- An ability to effectively manage change
- The power to create a culture that fosters and values collaboration
