Your role will be to oversee and manage the operation of both your base Entertainer store and any designated remote Tesco concession space. With responsibility for managing teams working shifts in separate locations, you must be able to lead them independently to achieve sales targets and deliver great service, whilst being able to prioritise, organise and delegate operational tasks and trading activity accordingly.
Delivering our mission to be the ‘best loved toy shop’ takes a special kind of manager where a hands-on, sleeves rolled up approach is essential; allowing you to deliver consistently high operational standards and outstanding customer service in multiple, high volume and demanding seasonal trading environments. With multi-site responsibility, you will be a resilient and energetic manager, who cares for their employees, motivating and developing a brilliant toy shop team through a positive and passionate leadership style.
Ideally, you will live no further than 45-60 minutes away from your base Entertainer store and be committed to working flexible shift patterns to support your store’s operation as required.
Your duties and key responsibilities as our Store Manager will include:
- Accountability for the sales and trading performance of your trading locations including regular analysis via our trade reporting tools and optimising trading space.
- To be a brand ambassador to our Tesco partners, building strong working relationships with Tesco management teams and encouraging your team to deliver The Entertainer experience in Tesco.
- To manage the performance of your team including the annual review process, company disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance improvement plans and counselling procedures.
- Effective delivery of store tasks including deliveries, adhering to stock storage principles, merchandising standards, and delivering promotional set ups.

We’re looking for our Store Managers to be:
- A great people manager with experience of leading, developing, and motivating teams.
- Strong and concise communication and organisation skills, being confident engaging with key stakeholders at all levels across multiple brands.
- Experience in analysing reports and interpreting data to react quickly and commercially to influence sales and performance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Microsoft Teams is essential.
- UK driving license would be preferred due to the multi-site nature of the role but not essential.
