Specialist, Applied AI Engineer

We are seeking an experienced, product-minded AI Engineer to collaborate with customers in solving complex industrial problems using generative AI and machine learning. As a founding AI Engineer, you will establish the foundation for designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven workflows for industrial applications. This role requires a strong technical background in AI approaches, with prior experience in delivering scalable AI solutions in production. Rapid prototyping and iteration skills, along with collaboration with customers and use case leads, are essential. You will apply techniques such as generative AI, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems to address real-world industrial challenges. Creativity in developing new AI use cases, rapid prototyping, and working closely with enterprise customers to align solutions with business objectives are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with customers, domain experts, and use case leads to identify pain points, define AI solutions, and prototype use cases.
2. Build proof-of-concept AI solutions quickly and evaluate their impact in real-world workflows before scaling to production.
3. Apply generative AI models, including large language models, to create AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and autonomous execution.
4. Integrate AI decision-making into existing industrial systems like ERP and enterprise platforms.
5. Develop scalable AI pipelines and architectures for deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of automation systems.
6. Design and deploy AI-driven autonomous agents for industrial applications, enabling task completion in industrial settings.
7. Conduct testing, validation, and optimization of AI models to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance.
8. Stay updated on advancements in generative AI, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems to foster innovation.

Qualifications:

• Master\’s degree in Data Science.
• Proven thought leadership in applied Generative AI, demonstrated by technical talks at industry conferences.
• Experience collaborating with AI frontier labs like OpenAI to leverage latest model capabilities.
• Experience deploying generative AI applications at scale in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in prompt engineering and integrating enterprise knowledge into AI assistants for optimal impact.
• Proven ROI from prior generative AI products and applications.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as LangChain for AI applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in AI automation and API integration.
• Experience working directly with customers, stakeholders, and domain experts to co-develop AI solutions.
• Ability to prototype and iterate rapidly, ensuring solutions are robust and aligned with business goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
